Spectacular mask in Vicenza stone, depicting the goddess Diana, lady of the forests, protector of wild animals, guardian of springs and streams, protector of women, to whom she ensured painless deliveries, and dispenser of sovereignty. Often this Roman goddess is made to correspond to the goddess Artemis of Greek mythology. Artemis-Diana, goddess of hunting, virginity, archery, woods and the moon, was further identified with other oriental female divinities during the religious syncretism of the imperial age.

In this representation is very evident portion of the moon above the hair, his association with the moon often leads to be portrayed while driving the chariot of the moon, while his twin brother Apollo, driving the chariot of the sun.
This mask can be used as a fountain mouth or simply as a wall mask.
