Large wooden 'pebble' sculpture with beautiful wood grains and patina. The sculpture was made of 2 pieces massive wood. Part of studio collection of Roland LAVIANNE (1948-2022). This collection was acquired in collaboration with 'Igmar Stuer ancient objects' (Aalst - Belgium and Paul Bert market, Paris Saint-Ouen) and @pschantiques (Paul Bert market, Paris Saint-Ouen). Dimensiions length 160cm x height 70cm x width 115cm. Simplifying the features in the extreme, Roland LAVIANNE d evelops a powerful play on volumes, shapes and lines, using the light as a key construction material. Roland LAVIANNE conveying a real mastery of the balance of volumes and lines of force. The figures, immobile but dynamic, seems lost in a theatrical conversation suspended for ever.
