Massive wooden sculpture which is made with the Japanese 'Shou sugi ban' technique, a traditional Japanese burning technique. Dimensions height 235 x depth 50 x width 40cm. Part of the studio collection of Roland LAVIANNE (1948-2022). This collection was acquired in collaboration with STUER Ancient Objects and @PSCHANTIQUES. Simplifying the features in the extreme, Roland LAVIANNE develops a powerful play on volumes, shapes and lines, using the light as a key construction material.
