Revolving bookcase

Revolving bookcase made in England by Pioneer furnishing company of Liverpool, beginning of the 20th century, in Oak. Condition is restored and very good order including the swivel mechanism which is strong and shows little signs of ware.

Size: 46cm x 46cm x 80cm tall.

Carved Rococo style mirror

A beautifully carved oak mirror, in the rococo style, dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. Lovely mercury silvered plate with good clarity and the nice mellow tone tinting familiar to the much older originals. Condition remarkably good with minimal signs of age, one small piece is re-glued at the top, see photos.

Antique wood framed and carved mirror, with original mercury silvered glass in two parts, as was normal in the 18th century. The mirror has significant foxing and is quite cloudy.

Lovely 20th century oil on canvas depicting a sailing botter leaving the Hoorn harbour, well known old port on the former Zuiderzee now the IJsselmeer. Known artist Roelof Koelewijn from Bunschoten.

Very rare aqua-tinted etching, probably by Jan de Beijer, published by print house Paul van Liender in 1762. Skating on the Amstel canal, revealing insight to winter life in Amsterdam in the 18th century, not the tent probably serving warm soup to passers by. Comes with a stunning curl mahogany frame in remarkable good condition for its age.

Late 19th century oil on canvas work in the style and possibly copied from the original by the Dutch artist J.C. Schotel (1787-1838). Scene depicts 18th century ships on a rough sea. In good restored condition with a more recent frame, artist unknown signed after J.C. Schotel.

Lovely impressionist marine scape of a Dutch tjalk sailing with an industrial backdrop of maybe Rotterdam or could also be the ij by Amsterdam. Made the middle of the 20th century and signed Meerveld, not a known artist name, possibly a pseudonym. Condition restored cleaned and varnished.
